Dan Rich

Dan Rich was born in Ohio in 1943. He spent a year at Akron Art Institute of Design then accepted a scholarship to the University of Akron, receiving a Liberal Arts degree, majoring in Fine Art. For 43 years, Dan channeled his creative skills into book publishing, as an entrepreneur who launched several publishing companies, including one for Random House in New York.

Publishing allowed him to utilize his visual and creative bent in product development, packaging, branding and marketing. This creative strength set his companies apart from the competition, collecting numerous national and regional awards for graphics, art, creative packaging, and advertising excellence.

In May of 2015, Dan retired and turned his focus into becoming an artist again, painting, exploring new mediums and styles, renewing the creative passion and drive he had back in college. For three years, Dan has focused most of his attention on developing his art. He has exhibited his award winning work in the Colorado Fine Arts Guild Fall Exhibits, and at the Pikes Peak Pastel Society 3rd Regional Exhibition.
