Paintings and photographs are such powerful memory producers for me.  They take me back to people, places, and experiences, with warm feelings.

I appreciate the idea of creating something that will endure.

Hopefully someone contemplates one of my paintings, and experiences peaceful feelings.

Having paintings in people’s homes, and in businesses, are included in my list of things I am grateful for in life.

Wisconsin is where I spent the first 21 years of my life.  I graduated from the University of Wisconsin-EauClaire with a degree in Education and Music.

I married and moved 13 times in the next 24 years, all over the U.S. and Germany, with the Air Force.  Raised a wonderful son and daughter, while substitute teaching, accompanying choirs, and volunteering for whatever community we lived in.  I retired from accompanying after 40 years and started painting with pastels.

Since 2000, I have thoroughly enjoyed learning from pastel instructors I admire, playing and spending time with grandchildren, and living with my dog.
